Ok here it goes...

My bag contents (ok, I admit, some crappy bits were removed - too shameful).

From left to right top to bottom:

Pens: Somehow one goes missing and then reappears, so I try to keep two pens in my bag.

Keys: I don't know why I have that Tesco's club key tag, I've NEVER used it.

Makeup bag: I rarely retouch my makeup - just my lipgloss, but my makeup bag seems to get fuller and fuller.

Wallet: Full of receipts!

BB Phone Case: Sorry, I used my phone to take these pictures. Need to get a new camera!

Umbrella: A black woman living in London should NEVER leave home without one! No matter how sunny it is outside. Trust me - no lol-ing at all.

Hair brush: My hair is natural so I rarely need to use my brush. My hair doesn't move! Haha!

Business cards: To hand out to potential clients and vendors - such a nice feeling. ;)

IPod: "If you don't have an IPod, well, you don't have an IPod" LOL!

Antibacterial Hand Gel: Don't leave home without it!

Hand Cream: I want a solution to dry hands! Removing rings to cream my hand is so h-annoying, and I get worried I might drop my engagement ring and it'll roll and fall in a drain. GOD FORBID!!!

Sunglasses case: I'm like you Naija Mum, just one peep from the sun! Lol.

Small Diary: I've learned to write very small as I can't be asked with big heavy organisers. But all that's about to change now. I have to get one. :(

Small Notebook: For jotting things down. This will also be replaced by the soon to be purchased organizer.

Envelope: Enclosed is a copy of my tenancy agreement from back in 2003 (thank God I kept it), which I need to send to Thames Water to prove I've not lived at "another" address since then. Can you believe they want to charge me over £3000 for a property I've not lived in since 2001??!! What a blinking cheek! Abeg, return to sender!

Book: FabJob Guide to Become A Wedding Planner. My second bible. Lol.

Blogging & All That Jazz

Boy oh boy, I'm finding this blogging business quite taxing! How do you guys do this? On the regs too. Boy! I've just spent an unintended two hours trying to redesign my blog to represent me better. And I'm still not sure the design I've chosen is me enough. I took a picture of what I thought does, and after failing to download (because blogger says it's too big) I decided, not sure it's really me anyways.

Well, for now I've settled for this design. Hope you like it. (Not that you even care about that anyway, I'm sure good content is more important to you). And on the subject of content, I really don't know what that is for me. There are so many blogs I enjoy to read, and I read them and think, why can't I bring my thoughts out like that. Some of you guys are so succinct and leave me eagerly awaiting your next post. On the other hand I've read some really looong posts, that I just can't turn away from until I get to the end. How do you do that??? Lol. I know I'm being dramatic, but I really didn't give this blogging thing that much thought before I embarked on this journey.

I'm just blabbering on now, so I'll leave. Need some sleep. Blogger design dashboard thingymejig's tired me out! And why oh why are there soooo many options (yeah, I'm tired. Complaining about having too many options, if there were less, that would be my complaint. Haha.)

Just checking in...

I know it's been a while, just thought I would check in real quick.

Been really busy lately. Work has got me working  flat out over the past couple of weeks, and on top of that been working on my own gig on the side - being a mum. I need some regular exercise because when my head hits the pillow (sometimes as early as 9pm) I'm out like a light, literally! And that's not normal for me.

I did mention a few weeks back that I would exercise on my Wii Fit more and guess how many times I've managed to do so since then. Yeah, you guessed right - NONE! Not good at all. Feeling lethargic and this is not good at all.

Besides that, my weight loss journey has been going in the wrong direction too. (What is up with me???) This week I gained another pound. I felt like giving up. But I know I can't. I have slim dreams. Lol. Maybe I'm lacking in some kind of nutrient. (Note to self - look up nutrition.)

All the "not so good stuff" aside, things are most definitely looking up though, so I really shouldn't be complaining. God has been good to me at work! He's got people fighting my battles and orchestrating all kinds of moves in my favour. And I am so thankful to HIM!

AND I have my very first booking. Ok, I probably should back it up and explain more. Lol. I recently got my diploma in Wedding Planning and I've been eager to make a start in building up my experience and portfolio. I recently landed an internship with an up and coming events company. That on it's own was exciting. One evening I was on the phone to my friend (who's an events coordinator) picking her brain about an event I have to plan. She said the light went on and she had a "ping" moment. Lol. Girlfriend hooked me up with one of her clients, and now I have my very first gig. E ba mi yin Baba logo! So, yes, I am hyped about that.

Yes, my wedding planner dreams began with this movie. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Lol.

Well, that's all I've got for today. Hope to have a much more energetic, optimistic and upbeat blog for you the next time I sign in.
